Birthday of note....

Postby jazzanddianafan on 23 Aug 2009, 23:39

I see at the bottom of the screen that it is Remi's birthday today - 30 years old today ???? (same age as my son!)

If that is true - or close to true - CONGRATS TO REMI !!!.... :wishes

And I will take the chance to thank you for gathering us all here and watching over us all these many years...... have a great day, Remi !!!

Facebook? Does this mean it's already uncool to be on Twitter? ;) Well, frankly, I've shunned Facebook, which proudly makes me a Facebook pariah.

Without digressing about social networking: Joyeux Anniversaire, Remi, on turning the big 3-0! Ironic that I turned 30 in the DK community about a year into my signing up there in 2000. Since I'm eight years ahead of you, let me tell you that 38 is just as good as 30 was. Hopefully my thoughts on turning 30 then are coming true for you in the current without having to use a :marriage !

In need of a catch-up education: What happened to your aspirations of being a sound engineer? I remember you saying that there wasn't much work available in it years back. But it was obviously smart to get into IT due to its better dependability. It seems to be making a comeback here in the States after our economy earlier wiped out half of them to uncommunicative people in India.

Here's hoping you had a fun birthday and life is going well now. :alcohol:

Thank you Coda and Greg, I'm really happy to see you back among us here. :)

What happened to your aspirations of being a sound engineer?

Well, let's say they fainted with years passing... No much work available at this time and even now it's really difficult, not to say impossible. If you don't have serious connections, forget about that job. And since I was all new in that "world"...

Well, anyway, now, I'm an IT network tech (still in Limoges) in the second most important french National Insurance (www.le-rsi.fr). And I'm quite happy with my job.

Happy B-day Remi--because you're here, I have a place to spend time reading & thinking about my favorite musician. What a gift you have given me!
