Diana plays Monterey Festival

The following day (Sept. 22) will take a bluesy turn with James Hunter and Otis Taylor (one of the best blues vocalists in the business). SoCal's Los Lobos will also appear and provide its groovy mix of Latin jazz, rock and pop.
That evening, 2007 MJF artist-in-residence Terence Blanchard will perform his highly anticipated "Requiem for Katrina" with the MJF Chamber Orchestra. Also, the festival's 2007 Sonny Rollins Commission Artist, Gerald Wilson, is set to present his "Monterey Moods." Wilson is a regular in Monterey and this is his third commission for the festival's historic anniversaries (25th, 40th and 50th). The evening closes with a performance by pop-sized jazz vocalist Diana Krall, who will be making her third appearance at Monterey.
