Vienna, VA, Wolf Trap, 17 Jun 2009

After recently changing my job location, I now work less than 10 minutes from Wolf Trap! I will not miss this concert, even though it is the night right after I see her in Baltimore. Not the first time I've seen her two nights in a row, but it would be nice to spread it out a little!

I've seen this concert date on some aftermarket ticket service sites, but haven't seen it anywhere that has any real standing. Its not even on Wolf Trap's website. However, it is listed on their official concert flyer that we just received, so it's pretty solid.

Its official - I'm seeing Diana two nights in a row this season! I better get used to this view - its a lot like the one I'll have the evening before in Baltimore.

My wife is only going with me to the Baltimore concert. A guitarist friend of mine (and big DK fan too) is going with me to this one.

More to follow, but here are the "divergent" tracks from the concert:

A Case of You
Devil May Care
The piano only improv from her Public Enemies audition
I Just Found Out About Love

A *triple* encore:

Boy From Ipanema
Every Time We Say Goodbye
Exactly Like You

She is almost completely over the cold, but it appeared a couple times. She is clearly feeling better - I rate this concert as the best of the three I saw!

As people were leaving during the standing ovation to try to beat the traffic, I of course went against the grain and moved to a central seat! I took this shot during the encore.

I was asked about the playlist. To best of my recollection, here it is, not necessarily in order. The first 2/3 or so was basically the same in all three concerts I saw.

I Love Being Here With You
Lets Fall in Love
Where or When
Quiet Nights
So Nice
Deed I Do
Cheek to Cheek
Girl from Ipanema
You're My Thrill
A Case of You
Devil May Care
The piano only improv from her Public Enemies audition
I Just Found Out About Love

A *triple* encore:

Boy From Ipanema
Every Time We Say Goodbye
Exactly Like You
