Here is a short review of Diana's concert in Zagreb.
First of all, concert was held in the sports hall, so I must admit that I didn't expect too much from the atmosphere. Sound was decent, but not so great in all areas, as I heard from friends later.
And this is my only remark to this concert.
Diana and the band (Anthony Wilson, Robert Hurst, Kareem Reggins) were very, very relaxed, and in a really great mood…Playing was fantastic, with a lot of improvisations and unbelievably unusual set list.
Here it is:
1. I Love Being Here With You
2. So Nice
3. Maybe You'll Be There
4. How Deep Is The Ocean
5. Este Seu Olhar
6. Quiet Nights
7. East Of The Sun
8. Black Crow/A Case Of You (fantastic medley!)
9. I Just Found Out About Love
10. Walk On By
11. Cheek To Cheek (outstanding performance)
Encore:
12. The Boy From Ipanema
.
She didn't talk/joke too much, but we had some great laughs, and the audience reacted great.
Afer the concert, my husband and I decided to try to get some autographs from Diana and the guys We waited almost an hour after the concert had finished, and then Anthony, Robert and Kareem came out from the building. We got autographs form all of them, took some pictures (Anthony also took some pictures with his own camera!), and talked about 20-30 minutes. We were all waiting for Diana, because they all had to get on the buses and go to Rome.
After a little while, Diana came out and nicely apologized to us (beside us, there were only 5 or 6 people waiting for her) for waiting in the cold (she really has some class). She signed our copies of Quiet Nights and Stepping Out, and we had a chance to take picture with her.
She chatted a little, but her crew members hurried her, so after few minutes she left in the bus….
What to say…an unforgettable night!
