Great news that the tour expands in my home state! She's played Segerstrom before, but Mondavi is a new venue. Too bad there's no Yoshi's on the horizon, though.

I'm bummed.................middle of the week concert to see Diana in Seattle doesn't work for someone who lives 300 miles away:(. The venue however will be perfect for this concert as it's a vintage theatre and fits just perfectly with her Glad Rag Doll themed shows. Not a huge concert hall however so I have a feeling it will sell out very very quickly!

Come on, Gundy. You can do it! Get a hotel.

I once drove (from LA) to see her in Vegas, then got up the next morning and drove all the way to San Diego to see her the next night at Humphrey's. Your 300 miles is a cake walk. :D

For me, the Northridge show is tempting. But think I'll stick with Costa Mesa on Saturday night.

I'm guessing the pre-sales will be soon. I know the Palm Desert and Tucson pre-sales already happened.

Bud, Oakland is right up your alley, no?

AAARRRGHHH! I blew it on the Costa Mesa presale. First off, the seating chart I printed off the venue's website does not match the artistdirect chart AT ALL. And the artistdirect chart is so tiny, you can't even read the seat numbers. I mean, it's microscopic.

This presale had the seat-selection feature (nice), but it's in reverse of the actual seating chart. Confusing! Row CC is front row? In what venue on Earth is CC front row? This one, I guess.

Anyway, right off the bat all the CC seats were "in transition" (which I assume means in the purchase stage), so I went for BB. I'm directly on the far outside aisle (Diana's side of the stage) in the second row. Very good (especially the aisle), but not an optimum viewing spot.

Purchase complete, I go back into the system and front row CC seats in front of DK are now available. Damn! I'd have bought them and sold my BBs, but all tix are WILL CALL only. If you hurry, those tix might still be available.

FYI: As of 10:45am pst, almost all of the Costa Mesa second row is available. I'm surprised. I guess this show isn't such a hot seller.

Ugh. I'm going to kill myself. There are two major concert halls at the Orange County Performing Arts Center. I printed the seating chart for the wrong one.

CC is definitely front row, which makes no goddamned sense at all. Also dumb is the artistdirect seat-selection feature being reversed. AAARRGGHH!

Oh well. Live and learn.

Though I'm kicking myself, I will say that at the Greek Theatre (Los Angeles), front row was not the place to be if you wanted to see anything other than Diana herself. The stage is so high, and you're so close, you'll see very little of the band. Even from my fourth row seats (which were outstanding), I couldn't see Riggins.

Good luck, Gundy. You gotta see the GRD Tour at least once. And looks like April 2014 is the last chance.
