Very sad news...

Fourty Years of Fostering Jazz Education Ends in Bankruptcy

Formed in 1965 as National Association of Jazz Educators (NAJE) to ensure inclusion of jazz in music education programs at all levels, the NAJE quickly grew to over 1000 members and a quarterly publication called Jazz Educators Journal. In 2001, NAJE changed its name to IAJE and boasted over 8,000 members in 42 countries.

In spite of the best efforts of the non-profit board and the support of many members, the valuable organization has been forced into making the heartbreaking decision of filing bankruptcy due to accumulated debt.

Agree, this really is sad news. Hope the efforts to resurrect a new organization in its place succeed...
