Pretty pictures. So this is the heaviest snow that London has got in 18 years?

Pretty pictures :hello: . As I sit here looking out on a foot of snow 'still' on our lawn from the over 6 feet we had in Dec/January this amount looks like what we would have called a 'skiff' of snow!

We are waiting for Spring! :alcohol:

This was really quite amusing for an expat Canadian!
London made a farce out of itself - a few inches of snow and everything ground to a halt. Half of my office didn't make it in to work - those of us who did had a nice snowball fight out in Berkeley Square park outside our office. I had some nice swipes at my boss. :D Nothing like a bunch of bankers playing in the snow.
Really though, the way the city shut down for the day was ridiculous - if this happened in Canada the country would be closed for 5 months out of the year!

Scielle, I hear ya. Here in the Detroit area (across the river from Windsor, Ontario), schools and businesses still keep running even with 6 or more inches of snow. When I went to a public university in Detroit, the school kept running despite 14 inches of snow.
