You mean Hanley Ramirez? He's from the Marlins.

You are of course correct, mapache61. Maybe I had one too many that night?

Looking forward to seeing how all the trades work out. I wonder which ex-Phillie will do the best?

No worries, Bud. Whenvever I post on this board I've usually had one too many. Who am I kidding? I've ALWAYS had one too many.

Anyway...

Last night I went to the Dodgers-Cubs game. We beat those pendejos, and beat them again today in dramatic fashion. Glorious!

And yes, Bud, I saw the Va-Giants had a big weekend at the Denver launching pad.

This sorry-ass NL West race is going to be close, as it should be. Unless the Va-Giants or Bums have total meltdowns, should be good-old gut-wrenching fun.

Gundy, take your money off the Dodgers NOW. LA is ONLY a good bet if the 3-4-5 spots (Kemp, Ethier, Ramirez) are hot. When on-fire, that's a middle order not to be F-ed with. But, with the exception of today, lately Ethier has been AWFUL. Quite often, he's a pouty little b*tch. His swing mechanics are solid, but he often goes into that A-Fraud-style, leg-kick-swing, which can be terrific, and also VERY BAD...especially on his favorite low-and-away K pitches (also Kemp's favorite K pitch). But hey, what do I know? You should see me flailing away at the local batting cages. NOTE: Bud would likely never say something negative like that about a Giant. In fact, I suspect Bud's real name is Mike Krukow...aka...Sickening Homer.

Brandon League...
Yeah, thanks for this tatooed thug, Mariners. He played a set-up role on Friday. He looked good. I don't believe he's pitched since then. Gundy, your comments trouble me...

Which ex-Phillie will do best? Pence ain't the next Barroid Bonds, but he's solid. Man, I was NOT happy to get the Cryin' Hawaiian. He's fast as lightning, no doubt (I saw him burn around the bases in person; most impressive). But he's SUCH an overrated hitter. And a major pussy to boot. This is as bad as having to root for Jeff Kent. We needed a first baseman to replace worthless Loney. Not this sissy.

Mapache61, League 'may' do well in the NL as it's not normally known as a 'hitter's league'; BUT he can go in hot streaks so who knows!

Correction. In my sober Monday morning state, I remember League did pitch on Sunday for a hot second; he faced maybe two batters. No damage done.

I'm hoping he does well, obviously. Our bullpen is much like him: hot and cold.

Damn, I've been outed!

By the way...

Photoshopped? No.

Ha!

Pretty sure that's a scene from Ocean's Eleven (the pre-heist meeting), but I could be wrong.

As for Lincecum, Frank was defitinely not a fan of hippies.

OK, maybe this was photoshopped :-)

I was at an Italian restaurant this weekend that had a lot of Frank posters. They had a poster of the Rat Pack that was the original for the K-Pack image.

Starting next to Frank, it's Deano, Brother-in-Lawford, and Sammy.

Bud, will All Star Game MVP Melky Cabrera be returning his trophy?

Giants' Melky Cabrera is suspended 50 games for testosterone:

We might have to leave it up to Bud Selig. I'm sure he'll make the right decision :?

What is it about your ballpark this year? Wow!

First off, congrats to Gundy's miserable Mariners and Felix on the Perfecto.

Second, Bud, please don't try to be flippant, insult The Great Emperor Selig and pretend you're not devastated by the Melk Maid's testosterone bust. This rotten cheater (in your eyes, not mine) has put an asterisk on your entire season. Bud, please, think of the children. I'd like to introduce you to Hayden and Devin:

The worst/best thing for these sweet, innocent lads might be that their hero actually fessed up. Unlike some Giants old timers I know, there will be no hiding behind ridiculous, insult-our-intelligence, laughable, "Barry never tested postivie" BS.

I'm having trouble posting the picture of Hayden and Devin, or Dylan and Cody, or whatever their names are. You can see it and read the story here:

More hilarity. Apparently, last week Cheater Cabrera suggested his positive drug test rumors were the diabolical doings of Dodger fans:

"Cabrera even suggested to me that Dodgers fans could have made it up as a distraction."

Yes, we are PURE EVIL. Bwa ha ha ha ha ha!

The season's not even over, yet reading through some old posts, I am ready to nominate Bud for a "Post of the Year" award.
Back on July 22, Bud said this about the All Star Game:
"You could say the Giants made a credible showing."

Yes, sir. CREDIBLE! AAAHHH HA HA HA HA!

The Giants nation is pissed at Melky for every reason you can think of. He's seen his last day as a Giant.

You're probably right. But you never know. They're going to bring Guillermo Mota back, no?

Don't know about Mota. If they let him go that would be fine with me.

Just so you know, Mike Krukow is really pissed at Melky too: http://www.knbr.com/portals/3/podcasts/ ... krukow.mp3

AAAHHHH HA HA HA HA! If I had the energy to type "HA" ten thousand times, I would.

Thank you, Bud. This is PURE GOLD!

Krukow is so hysterical, he sounds like he's about to cry. Wow, what a DOUCHEBAG! And what's with the squirrely Muppet interviewing him?! HA!

"In LA, they're laughing, they're thinking it's over."

Yes, I'm laughing. AT YOU, Krukow!

And no, I don't think it's over. Where is she (Krukow) getting this from?

I'm glad you're having so much fun. Feeling better now? :D

Who needs that Melky guy anyway? Game 1: Giants 2 - Dodgers 1, Bumgarner beats Kershaw!
