Here we go again with Dodgers-Giants. A-Hole Beckett vs Lickscum. At this pathetic point, I'm just hoping for a Dodger Wild Card. -- mapache61

"I don't care for chemical enhancement"
--Bud, May 9, 2009

Me neither, when it's convenient. Why doesn't SF spot LA a half-dozen games?

2012 SF Giants *

Win it all. I don't care. Your team is tainted, cheaters...in your eyes. Unless you want to finally admit that sterioids/chemical enhancements are cool?

Also. The A's should spot Gundy's Mariners all B. Colon-pitched victories...in Bud's eyes.

Game 1:
A nightmare. But not surprised. About what I expected. With this wretched billion-dollar offense--swinging at low-n-away sliders 2 feet off the plate yet standing there like dummies as straight fastballs fly by--we'll be lucky (damn lucky!) to even land a wild card spot. I'm not betting on it.

Meantime, maybe one of these days Bud will devise a way to defend his laughable steroid hypocrisy. I await, patiently...

The statistics don't seem to support you, sorry.

Giants record, post-Melky: 14-7. At the time he was suspended, the Giants and Dodgers were tied. The suspension, combined with your billion dollar payroll, seems to have hurt you more than helped you.

So what's the big deal? :thud:

Allow me to clarify my musings, sir.

Cheater Cabrera had 60 RBI when he was suspended. During Cabrera's shortened season of PED awesomeness, could be wrong, but I believe SF did not have Scootarow (sp?), who I hear has done very well for you (I don't have to time to research his stats). I'm guessing Scootarow has to account for at least some of your 14 post-Cabrera wins. In other words, it's not exactly the same team you had before the suspension. So your pre-Melky and post-Melky argument doesn't really hold up.

All I'm saying is that IF the great Emperor Selig went beyond PED suspensions and added game forfeitures to the punishment, Los Gigantes should be forced to forfeit some games. Six sounds like a nice number.

You, sir, as an opponent of PED use, would surely agree that game forfeitures would be a wonderful way to rid this sacred game of the PED scourge, once and for all.

I'm sure the honorable Giants organization, which is staunchly anti-PEDs (see: Barry Bonds) would be on board with this plan as well.

In other news: Watching the LA-SF game on Saturday, I noticed the anti-PED Giants organization has allowed Guillermo Mota back on their mound after his second PED suspension. I'm sorry...not PEDs. I believe it was cough syrup, yes?

So, let us review. In the eyes of most baseball fans and media, there is a dark, asterisk-lined PED cloud over Bay Area baseball (also see: Oakland A's). The Giants are complicit, and as the Orange-n-Black devils go into the playoffs, I predict we'll see Cheater Cabrera stride up to the plate (to Bud's mock horror) and blast a PED-powered, walk-off HR all the way to Sacramento. Giants fans will cheer wildly, and so will Bud. Sorry, brother, try as you may, but there's no getting around it:

In Dodger news: This team stinks! Over the weekend I hope some of the LA players visited the Giants clubhouse, or took a shopping trip over to BALCO. We need ROIDS, and we need em bad.

In NFL news: A few good games in Week 1. Nice to have football back. Bud, I see your Niners beat GB. To celebrate, I'm buying you a Randy Moss jersey. Watch your mailbox.

Oh Christ, Gundy, now we have to endure Bud's repulsive World Series pictures and emoticons. Don't know about you, but I can hardly wait for the lame smiley-faces and fluttering hearts. Oh yeah, and don't forget the emoticon with the party hat and balloons. Bud, please, please hit me with the "thud" emoticon for the pathetic Dodgers. It will kill.

I watched zero of the playoffs or WS. Didn't torture myself with tonight's game, don't know what happened, and don't care. But I did see the score, and only have this to say:
All this talk of Baseball Gods must stop.
Baseball Lucifer is alive, well, and apparently a Giants fan.
Who knew?

Bud's steroids hypocrisy is well documented here (and in emails I won't detail), so I'll just leave him with this parting shot:
Apparently, the Giants players voted to award ROIDS CHEATER Melky Cabrera at least some of his $300K World Series bonus:
http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ml ... s/1655841/
And why wouldn't they? This Fraud (in Bud's eyes) carried the team through the toughest part of their schedule (look it up), and also secured the World Series' NL home field advantage, in large part thanks to ROID CHEAT Cabrera's ASG heroics. He was the MVP. Did the Giants voluntarily defer home field advantage, based on their oh-so-high, anti-steroids principles? Ha! They've got two-time steroids offendor Guillermo Mota on their pitching staff.

Aw well, nobody cares except us bitter, deflated Dodger fans. The only good thing to come out of this nightmare: Emperor Bud Selig is sacked with a WS that nobody watched. I'm sure it didn't even beat Sunday Night Football.

That is all. I now retire to my Dodger coffin for the winter....

Sorry. Had to emerge from my Dodger coffin for one last item:

And here I thought only Los Angeles sports "fans" behaved like barbarians. At least that's what the media tells me.

Well, my congratulations to Bud and his Giants......................I didn't really care who won, but I would have liked to have seen it go another game or two.....the only time I loved the sweep was when Detroit swept the Yankees. Now the real games will begin! Trades, Releases, firings, retirings, etc and we Seattle Mariner fans have already seen a few of these happen, so we're hoping to pick someone up of real value soon.
Mapache61 I extend to you my sympathies.......................so we'll both have to wait till next year and hopefully a better season!

Well, we Detroit-area fans were disappointed with the Giants' sweep, :sigh: but we love our Tigers anyway.

Buster Posey, Pablo Sandoval, Marco Scutaro, Hunter Pence, Timmy Lincecum, Brandon Crawford, Gregor Blanco, Angel Pagan, Barry Zito, Matt Cain, Ryan Vogelsong, Madison Bumgarner, Sergio Romo, and the rest of the team were awesome! Can't wait until Spring Training!

Detroit players showed a lot of class in their post-game interviews. Hope they're back in the World Series soon. Jim Leyland, who just signed a new contract, is a quality manager.

I just read the news and immediately came here to taunt Bud about his beloved Barroid Bonds getting shut out. It's too bad. As much as I can't stand that sack-o-crap (because he's a filthy Giant, not because he's the steroids poster boy), Barroid would've made the HOF easily, even if he hadn't shot "The Clear" in his rear. Best hitter of the era, without a doubt. Sickens me to say this, but he's among the best of all time. I got no problems with roids, so I would've held my nose and voted for him.

What's funny is a-hole Jeff Kent (another one of Bud's heroes) will probably go in the HOF before Barroid.

On the Dodgers/Mets HOF front, I saw Piazza got some votes. He put up some huge numbers for a few years. I don't know if they're HOF-worthy, but he might get in eventually.

Finally...
As much as I hate the Reds and the clown that is Pete Rose, he needs to go in. This is ridiculous.

Bud, reading through some old posts reminded me to ask: Did your Randy Moss jersey ever arrive? I mailed it to you months ago.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hvc_n81bSzU

Randy just might be a bigger douchebag/prima donna than drunk-driver Jim Harbaugh. Maybe...

Despite mapache's obvious jealousy, I'm quite happy to be a SF fan right now. Randy Moss? I wasn't keen on signing him. but he's behaved himself and, apparently, been a leader.

I'll actually agree with mapache on Pete Rose. It's overdue. His stupid screwup came after his playing days.

Jealous? Of the SF Giants? Ha! Not at all. Simply sickened by 20+ years of Dodgers' futility. I hate the Giants, and since you're the only Giants fan I know, I taunt you...because it's fun. You know that. Read through the old posts, amigo. I do FAR more Dodger bashing than I do putting down SF.

Barroid? He's the past. And I said he belongs in this joke HOF. Do you not? Back then, half the league was on PEDs, and today, that's still the case (see: synthetic testosterone microdosing). Who cares?

You mean I'm jealous of the SF 49ers? I no longer have a football team, so unless I have money on the line, I couldn't care less. Just pointing out the obvious (Moss and Harbaugh are TOTAL CREEPS), because hearing you defend them is amusing.

By the way, I know this isn't a football thread, but here's my SuperBore prediction:
DEN vs. SEA
Winner: DEN

My DEN pick was wrong, but so what? The DEN-BAL game was great. Flacco's 4th qtr bomb was unbelievable.

The SF-GB contest was good too, until it was clear SF had pulled away for good. If the score ain't close, I ain't interested.

I'm still picking the Seahawks. They're not the best team (the Niners and Falcons are better), but they're hot.
