North America's oldest aquarium

Just thought I'd give a plug for a Detroit institution: the 101-year-old aquarium on beautiful Belle Isle (think kind of a Central Park on an island in the middle of the Detroit River). From Belle Isle you can clearly see Windsor, Ontario, to the south (yes! the south) and Detroit to the north.

City budget cuts are threatening to close this institution. The fish there are fabulous. I'd hate to see it close. For the curious, here's a link about the aquarium:
