...Ronald Regan was the only US President to come from the arts-film.
Alzheimers is a horrific way to pass, and he and Nancy were robbed of
their golden years together.
My prayers are with them and their souls...

Ronald Reagan's passing

I admire the love letters he wrote to Nancy.

God rest his soul.

Even though he fired all the (striking) air traffic controllers...

I still admired the man. You know he refused to ever remove his suitjacket when he was in the Oval Office, out of respect for the office he held?

My favorite Reaganism: "The government big enough to provide for your every need is big enough to take away your freedom." Only Republican presidential candidate I ever voted for.

Goodbye Gipper

Reagan was the best! I saw him at his first public appearance following the conclusion of his second term. He had a very powerful presence.

The Gipper

I appreciate all of your very kind words about Ronald Reagan. I voted for him both times he ran for president and have not one bit of regret about it.

Of all the things I admired about him, the first and foremost was his boundless optimism. He lead our country out of malaise and despair and made us feel good to be Americans again. Most importanlly, he lead us to believe once again in ourselves.

I feel particularly bad for Nancy. It is rare to see such complete devotion as I saw at the funeral services today and that has no doubt existed for the duration of their 52 year marriage.

The Gipper is gone, gone to his shining city on the hill, and this country is an immeasurably better place for his having been here.

I became very teary-eyed at the site of Nancy and her children at the funeral and burial in the west. Nancy and Ron had a soul mate relationship that is so rare. My heart aches for her lost and and I know God will watch over her as she did over Ron.

Pres. Reagan

Nancy was a very devoted wife. I was a Reagan fan- although, I wasn't old enough to vote. ( think elementary school ;) ) Anyway, the one thing that always stuck out with me about Pres. Reagan was the fact that he got hooked on jelly beans after giving up smoking. I thought that was cute. I admired his sense of humor as well.
