I thought that I read that Elvis is a twin. Can anyone vertify this?

Thanks for clearing this up John. I never heard about Elvis's still born twin.
I'm not fan of his music.

More twins to celebrities -- this time, girls.

Wow! Congratulations!!!
Welcome to the world Travis.
What amazing timing...I'm sure he'll be all bitter when he realizes he's getting the short end of the stick in the gifts department though!

Steve Greenlee: Ali Larter, the actress who plays Niki on the show (Heroes), could be your twin sister. She looks just like you.

I don't suppose that smell in Manhattan yesterday had anything to do with dirty diapers from Frank and Dexter! ;)

...Dexter and Frank?

Hell, that sounds like a couple of hillbillybabies-like where I'm from.

Don't matter-as long as mom, Dexter/Frank are well-God bless 'em...

I had a cool celebrity sighting today at West 21st Street and Fifth Avenue: Elvis Costello and his wife Diane Krall, each pushing a single baby stroller carrying their newborn twins. Bundled up in the monotone layers that are such a hallmark of New York street life, they blended in perfectly. My eyes lit onto Elvis first, as he's, well, unmistakable and then I caught sight of Ms Krall at his left. They stared back at me--perhaps because my eyes were as big as saucers when I first caught sight of them--and then we simply passed each other on the street. The unwritten handbook says New Yorkers don't gawk or harass celebrities; you give a slight nod of detached acknowledgment if you're a fan. And I did--I'm a fan of both their work (I also now have Costello's "Everyday I Write the Book" stuck in my head).

Elvis has been talking about fatherhood-

Q: How is it, at age 52, to be the father of baby twins?

It's great at any age.

You collaborated with Burt Bacharach. That sounds a little odd to me.

I haven't worked with him in a while. But Burt Bacharach is one of the greatest R&B composers of all times. That's the kind of music I like, R&B.

And now jazz?

And jazz. I like jazz pianists quite a lot.

Have you ever performed a concert with your wife?

I've got up and performed with her on a couple of occasions. We usually keep it for a special event. We did a benefit concert for a hospital in Vancouver. We could be like Steve and Eydie. Nothing against them. But my wife and I have separate careers, and we play together sometimes. Or we could be Captain & Tennille. I'd be Tennille.

What music do you and your wife listen to at home at night?

At the moment, 1950s English children's songs.

I LOVED that record Captain and Tenille when I was a kid. My parents of course had it and we were forbidden to touch it. As soon as they would leave on their Friday night date, pulling out of the driveway, we immediately would put it on the record player and dance and sing to it. Good memories!

This profile of Ms Krall has a new , to me, titbit about the twins -

Krall's appearance at Chateau Ste. Michelle on Saturday and Sunday comes at the midpoint of her first tour since giving birth to twins last December. The father, of course, is Krall's rock-star husband, Elvis Costello, whom she married in 2003. The boys — Frank and Dexter (fraternal, not identical twins) — are with her on tour. (Costello is not.)

As an identical twin I can only envy them . They'll be spared double-takes when together in public . The absolute same jokes over and over and over again , usually the one about how we 'must have had great fun tricking girls' growing up. And hundreds of other delightful aspects of being an identical twin.

Take my word for it.
