I don't usually watch TV, so I've never tuned in to 'The Hour'. George (IMO) tries a little too hard to be all 'hip' and cool with his over-exaggerated hand gesturing and so forth. But I'll tolerate it to see Diana.

Unfortunate surname, too, as a comedy series here in Canada parodies George's show by calling him 'George Snuffleupagus'.

Reminds me of George Stephanopoulos, the former advisor to President Clinton and, subsequently, host of ABC News' "This Week" current affairs program.

Right out of college in 1992, I worked for then-Governor Clinton's campaign for president in Little Rock. I once fielded a call from a man in Westport, Connecticut, seeking to provide advice to "George Stannapopoulos." I took the note and assured the man that I would pass the word on.
