I've only been to ONE concert! YET, I'LL TREASURE THAT ONE BEAUTIFUL EXPERIENCE FOREVER!!!! It meant a lot for me.
I'm very jealous of all of you! You (americans/canadians) are extremely lucky to live close to where she usually performs!

Let's see..

"WILIYE" tour
1x Hong Kong - April 2001
Plus 2 cancelled dates in Sydney which doesn't count.

"LOL" Tour
2 x Sydney, Australia - June 2002
1 x Melbourne, Australia - June 2002
1 x Brisbane, Australia - June 2002

"GITOR" Tour
3 x Sydney, Australia - April 2005
1 x Canberra, Australia - April 2005

I've seen Diana live 9 times. Not that many, is it?

As you can probably guess, Diana hardly ever comes near my part of the world so I tend to go to as many as I can whenever she tours.

Of all the live gigs I've seen, not a single bad one! It is also quite a treat to see how Diana has matured artistically while growing more and more at ease with a live audience over the years.

Arguably, my first DK concert invlolved travelling 4500 miles. I happened to be on holidays there when DK toured and managed to get tickets.

Those trips I make for the sole purpose of DK, going to Melbourne is only 400-odd miles while Brisbane is around the same. Canberra is only 150 miles or so.

Easy for you to say that, Wush. I'd love to have the means- $ - to see more of Diana, but unfortunately a great many people around the world can't afford it. It is three times as expensive for me as an argentinian to pay for a flight fare, since it's charged in dollars. 1 argentinian peso=3dollars. So there, not quite so easy. . Besides, there are other priorities here than going to a concert, such as education, health, food, rent, etc.

I forgot about this thread. Thanks for bringing it back, jazzanddianafan. I am also adding the UCLA event to my list, making it 13 total.

Looking forward to a tour in 2006.
In the meantime, a surprise Christmas Songs mini-tour would be nice...

I've only been to four Diana concerts and I thought that was good until I read all these others phenomenal posts.
I saw her the first time at the Tri-C Jazz Festial in Cleveland, Ohio on April 15,2000. The second time was at the Blossom Music with Tony Bennett, on my birthday in August in 2000. near a Cleveland suburb. The third time was at The Palace Theater in Cleveland on March 19th 2002. The last time was after we moved to Austin, Texas and we drove to Houston to see Diana on July11 th 2004. I don't know if I call recall these dates much longer.

Would love to see one, who can afford it......I can't even afford seeing Tift....lol!
The one's on the Jazz network are outstanding. She's mezmerizing and the music is so well balanced. Chrisma, talent and obvious hard work lend to one of the most pleasureable listening experences. Even if you don't have a penny in your pocket, you feel like you have some classs just listening to her. Diana, Goddess of the Hunt, revered by the Freemasons for her gifts of Creativity (and the crazyness) of the gifted.

I've seen Diana four times.

1.-Cleveland University Jazz Festival on April 15, 2000. (IRS day)
2. Blossom Music Center with Tony Bennett on Ausust 10th and my birthday.
3. Cleveland Sqare Playhouse on March 19, 2002.
4. After moving to Austin, Tx in 2003, we drove to Houston's Jones Hall on July 11th. That was the longest trip and an over night stay. I went with a realtor friend.

Now, I just hope that Diana will come to Dallas on October 13th where my sister lives. Diana is to perform at the I.M.Pai Center with the Dallas Symphony. I sure hope it happens. Diana is so specail. I would love to meet her in person. Someone on the board did at the Houston Concert. I remember that Diana was having root canal pain, but she told us at the end.

Since I won't be seeing her again til August, I'll go ahead and update now.
My total is 14.
Don't think I mentioned this in previous tallies, but my girlfriend now has 15 DK gigs under her belt.
Before we met, she saw DK open for Oscar Peterson at the Hollywood Bowl.
How dare she?!?!
