Krall heads for Kings Park
Grammy award-winning Canadian jazz pianist and singer Diana Krall will lead a three-pronged diva concert at Kings Park on February 23.
Touring on the back of her recent Quiet Nights album, Krall will perform with the WA Symphony Orchestra as the headline act of An Evening on the Green alongside French-American chanteuse Madeleine Peyroux and US new jazz sensation Melody Gardot.
Krall, whose husband Elvis Costello played at the Fremantle Arts Centre this week, had a minor role in the Michael Mann movie Public Enemies this year.
Her appearance under the stars at Kings Park will be her second visit to Perth after she played Sandalford Wines in 2005.
Peyroux, an infamously reclusive Paris-based performer, unveiled her fifth album Bare Bones this year, while Gardot enjoyed international breakthrough success with her second studio album, My One and Only Thrill, which climbed to No. 23 on the ARIA charts.
The 24-year-old Gardot only turned to music five years ago as therapy after being seriously injured in a car accident.
