Diana Krall returning to Windsor next March

Canadian jazz singer Diana Krall will return to Caesars Windsor’s Colosseum next March.

The Vancouver-born singer and pianist will be sporting a new album, Glad Rag Doll, to be released internationally this week.

Produced by T Bone Burnett, the album features covers of some pop standards of the 1920s and ’30s. The sexy cover photo of Krall lounging in what appears to be a negligee has already created a stir among critics.

But trading on her blonde good looks is nothing new for the 47-year-old Krall. Of course, all the hype would be for nothing if Krall couldn’t back it up with sterling musical credentials.

She has won two Grammy Awards and eight Junos.

Krall’s last appearance on the Colosseum stage was Canada Day, July 1, 2011.

Tickets for the March 2, 2013, concert start at $45, plus taxes and fees, and go on sale this Friday at noon at ticketmaster.ca. Tickets will also be available starting Saturday at caesarswindsor.com, the Colosseum box office, and by calling 1-800-991-7777.
