Hi:
I can't beleive that it has been so long since I have posted, that I am in danger of being uncerimoniously dumped. I, the greatest Diana fan in the stae of Washington, USA, would be mortified if I allowed such a thing to happen.
I attended Diana's June 2004 concert at Ste. Michelle winery in Woodinville, WA (Seattle area) and it was fantastic. The details have sort of faded from memory, but one of the highlights occured just after the opening song was completed.
This was an outdoor concert and the weather, believe it or not, was absolutely wonderful. Just behind the venue is a railroad track that is basically unused except for a local dinner train that makes nightly trips on it during the Summer months. Just as Diana and the group were starting into the second number, the train whistle blew a couple of times. There was a brief pause in the music, and they immediately went into a marvelous rendition of "Take the A Train", and played it through to completion. It brought the house down, or would have, had there been one. All in all, the concert was unbeleivalby good, but what else could one expect from Diana and her wonderful group of musicians.
As Anne Murray said, when she introduced Diana on her Christmas show a couple ofd years ago, she is truly a miracle.
