NYC Crane Collapse - Personal Encounter

This was quite a tragedy - a construction crane toppled, flattened apartments, and killed at least four people: http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/03/15/crane. ... index.html

Just so happens I was on a weekend getaway to New York with my wife, and we were staying at a hotel right up the street. I stuck my camera out my hotel window the morning after the collapse, and snapped the shot below.

At the time of the incident, we were safely far away on Broadway, catching a performance of Mary Poppins...
