Sheila Weller has written quite an information packed book about the Journey of a Generation. I've only read 60 pages of a book that is plus 500 pages. There are many details and it entails the mention of other music makers of this generation of ladies. I happened to be growing up about this time; therefore, it's fun to read. I bought my book at Barnes and Noble because I have a membership. It wasn't available at Costco. Try it and you'll like it I bet!

I have the book (got it as a recent birthday gift) but I haven't yet started reading it. I got intrigued to ask for the book when I saw an article in The Detroit News, and it mentioned that Joni Mitchell had lived in Detroit for a while and actually wrote some of her most famous songs here in Michigan!

Yes Coda, and Joni had a romances going with many, but one was Leonard Cohen and I know that you recently saw him, or I have you confused with someone else. Guess what? The subject for one of her best ever songs, "A Case if You" was Leonard Cohen. I'll think of that every time I hear it. I wonder if Diana knows that.
I'm still just half through the book, but it is excellent.

Hi, Char. I started reading the book and I hope to finish it while our family is camping next week. I'm really enjoying the book so far. Sheila Weller has a compelling plan for telling the stories of the three musicians.

I haven't yet met Leonard Cohen, but I had no idea that he's the one for "A Case of You." Very intriguing! :D

I've read further into the book and it says that "A Case of You" is actually about two men: Leonard Cohen and James Taylor!
