Super Bowl 2014

Sorry, gundy. I could be very wrong, but if the Broncos play like they did yesterday (vs Patriots), I just don't see your Seahawks beating them. Mapache's prediction: Denver by a touchdown.

Turns out I was VERY wrong. But I don't think anyone saw a blowout like that coming. A Super Bore, indeed.

Anyway, congrats gundy!

In closing...Call me crazy, but I think a SEA-DEN Super Bore rematch is a very real possibility for next year. Peyton Manning isn't going away. And the Seahawks should be just as good.

I don't think ANYONE saw that ending coming to the Superbowl! IF Seattle can keep this team together I do think we'll see them again next year in the playoffs. I believe the only team that had a chance to beat us this year was the 49ers and I think they would have won too. Should be an interesting season next year!
What's so cool is this is the first championship for the city of Seattle since the 78/79 Seattle Supersonics!
Now, I'm just hoping this rubs off onto the Seattle Mariners (seeing the stadiums are right next door to each other maybe we can get some of the 12th man spirit transferred over!)!
GO HAWKS! GO MARINERS!

Though I can't stand the bicep-kissing dickhead that is Kapernick or douchebag Harbaugh, Bud's Santa Clara 49ers are excellent; right up there with SEA, I think. But look out...so are the Cardinals! As Bud correctly predicted a few years ago (I couldn't believe it at the time), the NFC West has become the league's dominant division.

Enjoy the championship, gundy. Talk to you again in a few months when baseball is underway.

Congrats on the Super Bowl victory, Sue! Like everyone else, I was shocked at how lopsided it was. I see mapache61 amazingly gave my team some props! But the pundits and even Richard Sherman seem to agree - the Niners are a better team than Denver, and the winner of the NFC Championship was destined to win the Super Bowl.

Despite a lot of handwringing about Kap in the Bay Area over the NFC Championship loss, the truth is he played better against the Seahawks than Peyton did! In Seattle, no less!

I "amazingly" gave the Santa Clara 49ers props? The showboating Kapernickel and Drama Queen Harbaugh are ripe for mockery, sure, but over the past two seasons I don't ever recall saying the Forty Whiners weren't worthy. In fact, I bet (and lost) CASH MONEY on your bums to win the Super Bowl last year.

Thankfully, though I originally picked the Broncos to win, at the last minute I got a bad feeling about them and bet $60 on Seattle.

I may talk a lot of smack (mostly to annoy Bud), but I only lay cash on a team I think can pay me. Since my sorry-ass Rams ditched LA years ago, I have no personal, emotional investment in pro football whatsoever.

And Bud, you need to get over Richard Sherman. I have no doubt your beloved Crabtree is a loud-mouth jackass as well.

Absolutely, on to hardball.

Gundy, I think you should start this year's thread. Whenever you're ready...
