what are some of your favorite movies that whenever they're on tv, no matter how many times you've seen it, you sit thru the until bitter end?

You've Got Mail
Sleepless in Seatle
Big
Pretty Woman

What can I say? I love Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks.

Wow, that's somehow a tough question...

Apart the LOTR movie that I could watch forever, what are my favorite movies?

Well, there's a french movie called Les Tontons Flingueurs (imdb) (Mr. Gangster in english) including the greatest stars of the french cinema of the 50's (Bernard Blier, Lino Ventura, Jean Lefebvre, Francis Blanche, etc.)

There's also another french film called Le Père Noel est une Ordure (imdb) (with Thierry Lhermitte, Gérard Jugnot, Anémone, Marie Anne Chazel, Christian Clavier, Josiane Balasko... all of them were coming from a company named "Le Splendid"). If you don't know, the dialogues are so well known that you could ask anyone in France about that movie and we could tell you all those dialogues in their entirety.

There's also "Le Diner de Cons" (imdb) with Thierry Lhermitte, Francis Huster and Jacques Villeret).

The City of Lost Children (by Jean-Pierre Jeunet) (imdb)

I could watch again and again those movies. I'm sure I have forgotten a lot of them.

Anything Hitchcock, I'd even watch the really bad ones like Under Capricorn.

Old musicals, stuff with Gene Kelly or Frank Sinatra or Judy Garland.

Any Bogie & Bacall film.

One that gets me everytime - and it did again just a day or two ago - is "All the President's Men"

Okay, call me utterly sappy, but I love "It's a Wonderful Life" and "The Sound of Music." Generally, I will rewatch comedies or shows with happy endings, but not tragedies.

...probably "The Natural".
Love the soundtrack, plus it's a good movie to usher in summer with; it's about baseball and getting a "second wind".
When I was raising my son, I found it was fun for he and I to watch it together, and we did; every Memorial Day!
Beyond that-I'm a typical dude when it comes to flicks-James Bond, Clint Eastwood, anything with action!!!
...You can always find me down at Smokey Joe's!!

Bond! I forgot James Bond! I love James Bond movies, too, and I'll watch until the very end when Bond gets to use Q's latest techno device, the evil lair explodes, the megalomaniacal fiend gets his comeuppance, and Bond is making whoopee with the "Bond girl" du jour.

I guess my favorite movie is " Scent of Woman". I love the scene where Pacino dances the tango with a young woman in a restaurant (Gabrielle Anwar).
