Yay! Montreal finally has its own jazz radio station: Couleur Jazz FM
They've been running since mid-December but are not online yet - I'll make sure to report when they are, in case any of you are interested. They've got great shows - including one that plays the best live performances from the past 25 years of the Mtl. Jazz Fest, as well as one hosted by Andre Menard (station owner and founder of Mtl Jazz Fest). The whole thing is run by Equipe Spectra , which also runs Francofolies de Montreal, the Festival of Lights, a bunch of film distribution companies, and as of last month, the Montreal International Film Festival, plus much more. They pretty much own every cultural enterprise in this city... Mr. Menard is obviously one cleaver man...
