Thank you, Karla. It's nice to see you, too. I was touched by your comments about Pope John Paul II.

Well, we're still in a holding pattern to determine whether we're moving to DC. The wheels of government don't move too fast, but it appears that Mrs. EiLB is the front-runner.

Bud, you were right about Fairfax County schools. Newsweek came out with their annual list of the 1000 top high schools in the country, and many of the best ones are in the Metro DC area.

So, Bud, can you post a link to a good traffic jam site so I can estimate where the worst commutes are? :)

Hi there, I have been real busy too. Nice to see you all.

By the way I also need a haircut very badly remi, wellcome to the club ! Actually should get this done tomorrow, as I am meeting some friends from my old school in the bar where we used to chat for like hours in the afternoon sometime instead of studying. They say I look better when I think of taking care of myself, which is true.

Eric, I think Virginia is not so bad, in case you are sad about leaving California. Good luck to you for the move and all that jazz !

Hi Eric --

Glad you could independently verify my assertion about Fairfax County schools.

Here's another traffic link from the Post: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/co ... index.html

Metro DC has one thing over SoCal - decent mass transit.

There is a reasonably good feeder system of buses in addition to the famous Metro. Also, there are trains called VRE (Virginia Railway Express). I used to take an express bus to the Pentagon that I caught about 1/4 from my house.

Fortunately, my current commute is against traffic!!

Hope this helps... Bud
