We had a recipe thread on the other board, and I would like to revive it, but with a twist this time. The recipes have to have something to do with DK...song title, album title, anything that relates to her. A few suggestions just to whet your appetite or imagination: Nanaimo Bars, since that is where she is from. Frim Fram Sauce would be appropriate. Temptation would make a great dessert name. How about some Stepping Out baked beans to go with your Cry me a River hot wings and S'Wonderful cole slaw... Got the idea?

Here are the rules:

1) It has to be something that you make.

2) When you make it, post the recipe along with a photo of yourself with your DK dish.

3) Have fun. (make this rule # 1 if you want to) :D

Russ brilliant play idea

Postby verena on 13 May 2005, 17:37

Hello Russ ! I was wondering were you had vanished. You wrote this charming little love letter for DK not long ago.

Nice of you to propose a game, we need more fun. But boy, this one is too much work for me. I have a problem with the rules, I mean why should we have to do the dish, and what about the picture ?
(I for example, have time at the moment, but still busy, plus I would be kind of scared to send my picture out in the web).

Also for starters, I'm not sure what kind of BARS these Nanaimo's are supposed to be; Or if left to fan creativity.

How about getting rid of rules 1 and 2 ? Leave them optional. So we can focus on rule 3 : Fun. FAIR enough, Russ ?

My charming Verena,
The "rules" are merely suggestions. I promise that the jazz police won't come after you, should you choose not to follow them.
1) As far as actually making the dish, I was hoping for you to follow (or make up) a recipe and try it (you know, just to make sure it is what think it will taste like) but you don't have to.

2) The picture suggestion was a sly  way for me to get a look at you, but you have outwitted me on that...have you been reading Sherlock Holmes?

3) I claim dibs on the Nanaimo bars, so don't worry votre tete :? about those :-P

now about that drink...

Drink? You mean "cocktail"? :alcohol:
I'm here if you need help! ;)

Regarding the pics and Russ' second suggestion, I think it's a good idea since photos of members haven't been updated for quite a long time.

Rémi going bananas ?

Postby verena on 14 May 2005, 21:36

Holy cow ! What's that picture you posted for an avatar Remi ? Hope it is not your other idol (never heard of him sorry 'bout that).

Took me a while to notice it, but I am like that; So incredibly intuitive and rational at the same time, but quite often I won't see the obvious. Of course people assume I do. Meantime I may be figuring out/feeling a lot of other things, but that problem of not dealing with the obvious is really an embarrassment.

Whatever happened to you boy, you also sound strange about our planned meeting (I thought it was in the pipe for sure, even though the timing was not worked out yet).

Must be back with a Case of You (found a thrilling one).

A Case of You (Basic Case /B. Instinct Twist/ Case of Diana)

Postby verena on 15 May 2005, 00:38

Russ, you must have been in a bad doom when you answered my reply. But I must say I had not credited you with such an oblique sense of humor (your proposal was so down to earth, it took it for what it seemed).

Sorry guys, I have to let you down a beat on the cocktail play. The ideas I have in mind are listed above. Meant to tell you right now but I have to answer a call. Shall be back in a short while.

Verena.

Cannot make it tonight on cocktails, sorry. Must go to bed, plus want to shoot some quick reply to a message I just spotted. Personal and maybe important, I'd rather not take the risk of letting down people I care for.

His name is Jango Edwards.

Whatever happened to you boy, you also sound strange about our planned meeting (I thought it was in the pipe for sure, even though the timing was not worked out yet).

And I answered you I would be happy to meet you though I don't know when it will be possible for me to go in Paris. I said august because the university in Limoges is closing in august for holiday but I still don't know what I will do at this time.

Guys, I could as well have dropped you a few lines yesterday, instead of bothering with this message from supposedly friends. Turned out to be a kind of a trap set up by some smartie I don't even know.

Sometimes you wonder...

See ya,

V

Ok V,
You had all weekend...still no pic or dessert or recipe
Maybe you should work on those instead of chasing bogus emails ;) ...

Yes, I have a very oblique sense of humor. Some of my friends say that I should teach a class in sarcasm or they call me the king of the smart@$$'...I don't think I am that bad though.

My recipe and pic coming later this week. :D

Not really. Just having a little fun and trying to keep this thread open. I hope to post a REAL recipe this weekend.
