NBA finals 2004

Postby Coda on 07 Jun 2004, 18:44

I'm attaching an article with a picture of the famous "Spirit of Detroit" statue in downtown Detroit (by artist Marshall Fredericks) dressed up in a Pistons jersey. The tradition started with the Red Wings, and it seemed to help them. Go Pistons!

20-point win!

Postby Coda on 11 Jun 2004, 19:28

The Pistons rocked yesterday! They made me proud! Finally, someone on ABC during Game 3 said what I was thinking: the commentators needed to stop asking what the Lakers were doing wrong and start saying what the Pistons are doing right!

:D

:eek

Well, now you know how much I know about basketball. Props to the Pistons for doing what no one outside of Detroit and the NBA league office thought they could do.

governors' bets

Postby Coda on 17 Jun 2004, 20:51

Hey, Eric: You probably know that The Governator and Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm made bets about the outcome. Granholm sent a Michigan "care package" to Arnold and now he's supposed to drink some Vernor's ginger ale and wear a Pistons' jersey and a 'fro wig (for Big Ben Wallace's wild fro hair style).

I can't wait to see Arnold in the 'fro!

Coda: As Ben Wallace said: D E T R O I T B A S K E T B A L L
Pistons destroyed, toppled the LAKERS Dynasty...sent the coach, packing...Shaq....looking for another team....nobody can afford him....Kobe...looking at jail time as a raptist...he had other things on his mind this series...no excuses for this superstar....he had more class than Shaq...he came over and congratulated Larry Brown...Shaq just left too much Kyptotonite from the Pistons...anyway....it was the best NBA Championship I ever saw...can't wait for next season...to see how Prince and Campbell improve...Prince was awesome in defense...it was really fun and I was a happy camper...to see Lakers shut out....game 2 was really ours all they had to do was foul anyone...could have had a sweep....something to look forward to next year...ANAE

Coda, I read in the LA Times today that Ahnuld was going to wear the jersey, but there was no mention of th afro wig. Sorry to disappoint you. Wearing the jersey is embarassment enough. ;)

Here's a picture and article about Mr. Schwarzenegger--he didn't wear the wig, though!
