It's More Like Home.

Postby char44256 on 10 Jun 2004, 16:56

My architect husband, Tim, has finally found a wonerful new job in Austin- it's been nine months of searching; our granddaughter, Siobhan, just turned one, and yesterday we met our new son, Stretch, a miniature, smooth red Dachshund. We will bring home home after we see Diana in Houston. Our life is getting back to normal. It's been since last summer when we moved from Ohio and lost, Samantha, our 13 year old Dachshund. I'm so happy and I just wanted you all to know. By the way Skirt, we were married on September 16th in Germany, and best wishes for a happy and fullfilling life. I think you are are marrying an architect too. Prepare to see lots of buildings through the years and put on your walking shoes.

Thanks for the soap box.
Char :)

Congratulations, Char. I'm glad that everything is settling for you. And, thanks for the post. It's great to hear good news.

I'm glad you and your husband are feeling more comfortable in your new home, Char. BTW, Char and Lindsay, I've noticed a lot of couples I know, if one spouse is an architect or engineer, another is a writer or in another artistic field. Seems that that might apply to you both?

That sounds wonderful Char!!!! I'm really happy for you both. There's nothing like the happiness that comes when hard work has paid off! My future hubby is doing well in his office. He has been given a few important tasks, such as designing a building on his own...with over head approval of course, but he's soaking it all in. We're looking forward to the honeymoon in September. I haven't been around much, here or in the real world, since I've started the new promotion. It's going well, but I could live without the 50 hr work weeks. It's been a struggle for my body since it was used to 15 hrs/wk. But not bc I'm getting older!! ;) This summer is going to fly by before I know it. Just like today has....my 1 day off. I managed to get a lot of wedding things accomplished tho. :) I hope everyone on the board is doing well! I am sorry I'm not around long enough to reply to everyone's posts. Take care everyone!
