Women's musical voices

Postby Coda on 09 Aug 2005, 19:15

Another article about music...a scientific study says men really do have difficulty hearing women's voices because men have to process women's voices in the part of their brain that processes music. This is different from men hearing other men's voices...that info is processed in a part of the brain that handles simpler sounds.

Thanks Coda for a thought provoking piece.

I thought that there were studies that indicated female voices are actually *easier* to listen to. For example, mass transit systems that I've been around seem to employ female voices rather than male ones...
