Diana Krall returns with "Quiet Nights" (Verve), entering the Billboard 200 at a career-high No. 3 while garnering her ninth No. 1 on Top Jazz Albums (104,000). It's also her best debut sales week since "The Girl In the Other Room" entered with 144,000 in 2004. Since then, she's peaked at No. 17 on the Billboard 200 with the seasonal set "Christmas Songs" in 2005, the studio album "From This Moment On" (No. 7 in 2006) and the hits package "The Very Best of Diana Krall" (No. 19 in 2007).

There is an oddity in the Amazon customer ratings. The percentage of "x of y people found the following review helpful" is typically very high for 1 or 2 stars. For 4 or 5 star evaluations, the percentage of helpfulness is very low.

Strikes me as fishy, that's all I'm saying...

I find the same thing on iTunes Bud... Of course I then try to go through the bad reviews and click 'no' for their helpfulness.

I love Diana Krall. But I really have to say that after listening to this cd several times,this one is not a favorite. There were other DK cds that were number one on Amazon and I agreed
Again to all who protest - I still love you Diana. I am looking forward to the next cd . I hope you hit this one out of the ballpark.
