First up - date TBD, but I'm listening to Q (CBC radio show) - Jian just said DK will be on in the coming weeks.

She says she recently found a Jan.1981 (5 page!) letter she had written to Oscar Peterson asking for advice - said she might put it on her website.

Twins are now into Buzz Lightyear and Hit That Jive Jack. Also says she and Elvis are next collaborating on writing some kids' songs... not sure how serious she was about that!

Nice find, scielle. Diana sounds very happy and genuine in the audio -- a delight to listen to.

I find she's always much more interesting in radion interviews than on TV - even when compared to the Spectacle episode. I think she's just far more comfortable with that medium.

Thanks for finding this, scielle, and the other recent links on other threads. So Diana likes vinyl better than MP3. My husband, who's an engineer, was explaining to me why some people favor that format...something to do with warmer-sounding harmonics (if I've summarized it accurately). But I know very little about it myself. I still enjoy vinyl, and occasionally I'll listen to one of my old-school LPs, but I don't have anything from Diana in vinyl.

I liked the interview; thanks Scielle for finding this. About vinyl records; they are what I grew up listening to and I finally went out and bought a player so I could listen to some of my old records and I've begun collecting vinyl and have bought several new ones including several of Diana's that are available and even Elvis's latest. I agree with Diana that some of the songs do still sound best on vinyl.

Lots more Canadian appearance this week just posted on the official site - I think these may be filming dates rather than air dates though. According to CBC's The Hour site, Diana is on on Thursday the 6th.
