Best interview yet!

Plenty of new stuff in this one (I didn't know she went to York University, for instance!), probably the most interesting piece of promo she's done in this latest press junket.
It's about an hour long, but so worth the listen.

Interview done by Jian Ghomeshi of CBC Radio's Q. (You may have heard about his recent Billy Bob Thornton interview fiasco... classic stuff :-)

Thanks, scielle - agree that this is a great interview!

I never made the connection that Jeff and Ray were in Nanaimo as part of an LA Four appearance. I have an LA Four album pre-Jeff, when Shelly Manne was the drummer. I saw them play at Concord. Diana mentioned Bud Shank, and I got his autograph there, which I kept with the album. I'm really dating myself now!

Sadly, Mr. Shank just passed away this month: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bud_Shank

A direct link to the interview (without all the other bits of the day's show) is here. You can also find, on the same page, a 1-hr specials with Leonard Cohen, Bruce Cockburn, Gordon Lightfoot, and David Foster.

Jian's interview of Diana, on Q TV has been posted on YouTube.

Steve Greenlee: Ali Larter, the actress who plays Niki on the show (Heroes), could be your twin sister. She looks just like you.

Diana Krall: Poor thing.

The Q interview is superb! It really covers so much, but it's nice to get it all in context. :)
