Diana back in Poland for 3 shows in Nov.

Diana will be in Poland in the fall for concerts in Warsaw, Wroclaw, and Zabrze (I think that's the closest she's ever gotten to my hometown).

Quiet Nights has also dethroned U2 from the top of Polish charts.

Tickets are ridiculously expensive - but will surely sell out nonetheless. The Poles love their jazz and their pianists (incidentally, have I ever told you guys my grandpa was good friends with Wladyslaw Szpilman? That's The Pianist from that Roman Polanski/ Adrain Brody movie. I've got pictures of my mom, aged 5, playing with his sons. Very cool.)

I'm from Jelenia Góra - moved to Toronto as a kid though, so don't have many ties there anymore.

Scielle, thanks for sharing that. I have extended family (two-or-more generations back) from other areas of Poland, some from Gdansk and others from towns near the Russian border.
