Thanks for the pic, mapache61!

Here's a Youtube interview of Herbie Hancock on the red carpet. He gets his facts wrong, but its quite alright, as you'll see!

Bud, is there any way we can compile the tons of DK pics in all these threads and keep them in one place? I've killed countless brain cells since the days when the board had a "splash" page (I guess that's what you'd call it) with an intro and a DK bio. But I seem to remember a DK photo gallery from that time as well. Am I crazy? I'm pretty sure it included more than just the "official" DK/Verve pics.

Obviously, something like this would require overtime from our Grand Poobah (Bud), but I suspect he's up to the task.

Hey, everyone. Thanks for the fresh stuff!

I got a kick out of Barry Manilow and Barbra Streisand both saying they didn't know what the lyrics mean to the song, "Memory," from Cats. Reminds me of what someone said about the song "Horse with No Name." They didn't know what it meant, either.

Here's another red carpet interview with Diana and Elvis:

If it was televised, I wasn't aware of it

Quite some time ago, there were a lot of images and other media available, courtesy of Rémi.

I appreciate the vote of confidence, mapache61, but compiling this site's images is a bit more work than I can chew off right now :aaah

However, whenever you need an image fix, this is a pretty good place to go

A MusiCares Tribute to Barbra Streisand

On February 11, 2011, Barbra Streisand was honored as the MusiCares Person of the Year. At a gala event in Los Angeles, Barbra and an all-star cast of guests including Tony Bennett, Faith Hill, Diana Krall, Seal, Stevie Wonder and more performed many of the songs she made famous throughout her career. On November 13th, Shout Factory will release on Blu-ray A MusiCares Tribute to Barbra Streisand, a collection of these never-before-seen performances.

The annual MusiCares Person of the Year tribute dinner and silent auction take place in Los Angeles during GRAMMY Week. Each year, the dinner honors a recording artist who has made important contributions to the world of music and has demonstrated extraordinary humanitarian and philanthropic efforts. The event generates significant financial support for MusiCares and draws attention to the critical work of the organization.
