Bought any Assault Weapons Lately?

Postby russ on 05 Oct 2004, 12:05

Since the assault weapons ban of 1994 expired in September, has any of you been stocking up on machine guns and ammo?

Just kidding, machine guns are still unlawful to own (for the most part).

Any avid shooters in here? Or am I the only loose cannon in the group?

I have to admit that I figured the ban would expire and sold my evil pre-ban AR-15 in June for a lot more than I paid for it. I bought a new one last week with all of the evil features plus a couple of upgrades for$400 less than I sold my old one for

I am not trying to start a political debate over firearms on this forum...I am just really bored tonight and...well...I was thinking about guns and reading the forum....and....never mind...

Smooth jazz and a smooth trigger pull...I wonder if Diana needs a body guard? :-P

It's been nearly one year that I haven't heard from him.

But I could say the same about guys like BillyRhythm, CanadianEagle, Eric, Greeves, Greg "Encyclopedia Universalis", Hang Tucker, MangoFlavorPunk, coolguy3, joanie, kaceofyou, Yrral, Laura Pineiro, Nancy M Peck, NK, Praline, Renovia, Ron from Duluth, Sean Bressie, SJ and many more... :|

Russ, your post made me chuckle. No, not one for assault weapons here, I just prefer a strong fist ( spoken like a boxer) ;)

Pablo would comment....he could comment on anything.

As far as strong fists...yeah, I pefer those, too. I don't put bullets through anything other than paper or plastic...and I don't mean at the department store.

err, ummmmm, not sure. I have heard some guys really butcher a tenor sax, but I never felt assaulted by one.

I always crack up at the term "assault weapon," which could be anything from a slingshot to a nuclear weapon. It was a term created by politicians for propaganda purposes!

I do own a 9mm semi auto and a couple of other pistols, though and have a license to carry them.
