And so, now that it is downloaded, someone knows what to do with those .flac files?

Anyway, talking about BitTorrent, I have recently downloaded Diana's concert in Buenos Aires she gave in 2000 (at the Teatro Gran Rex).

She is accompanied by Rodney Green (drums), Dan Faehnle (guitar), Benjamin Wolfe (bass).

Song list:
1- I Love Being Here With You
2- All Or Nothing At All
3- Let's Fall in Love
4- I've Got You Under My Skin
5- I Don't Know Enough About You
6- Devil May Care
7- East of the Sun
8- A Case Of You
9- Sometimes I'm Happy
10- Girl From Ipanema

and for your very own pleasure: ;)
11- Frim Fram Sauce

If you can wait till tomorrow, I'll upload them all so that you can listen to those gems. :)

I hadn't listened to Diana for quite a long time (MK's new album is playing in loop on my CD player  ), but man...
She is a real drug, if you start listening to her, you can't stop.

That girl is simply amazing.

FYI
You can download free software to convert flac files here
http://mikewren.com/flac/

Interesting to read you dont listen to Diana 24/7, Remi. Mr Diana Krall is more my cup of tea, to be honest, still I haven't listened to anything by him for a week or 2 as well. Too much new stuff coming out. Still, like Dianas, its always good to know there is a great body of work to listen to.

Yep, that's what I did. Now I have converted them into .wma format and am currently uploading them on a new server. (just need about 100 Mbs of space... a trifle  )

Interesting to read you dont listen to Diana 24/7, Remi.

Well, it's not because I'm the webmaster of her dedicated site that I have to listen to her 7 days per week, 24 hours per day. ;)

I'm currently listening to "new" things like MK's new album (Shangri La which is a must to have!), Paul Personne (THE french bluesman), I also recently found a girl named Coral Egan (a young canadian blonde woman that looks like Diana and who is playing jazz, blues, pop, whose mother is Karen Young... the funnier is that I was searching for news about Diana and I came across that article where I believed it was a photo of Diana)
Well, I'm digressing.

Still, like Dianas, its always good to know there is a great body of work to listen to

Diana is what I call a classic, like Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, Pearl Jam. You can be sure that when you listen to these artists, you listen to a work of high quality.

Just wanted to tell you the songs from both shows (Gran Rex Theatre and Black Orchid Supper Club) are now available in the bootlegs section.

Personally, I think the version of A Case Of You from the Gran Rex is nothing but the best I have ever heard.

And the bass on Temptation, oh my god... :thud:

Hi, Remi:
Yes, I checked out the article picture and website for Coral Egan. I'd say there's a certain similarity. By the way, with Egan's website, I wondered :dunno: what's up with the mysterious looking gate on the opening page. I thought I'd hear creaky sqeaks when I opened up the website! (Or maybe I have too much Halloween on the brain.)

Carol Egan

Postby DKJAZZDIVA on 22 Oct 2004, 04:18

Remi, thank you for the intro to Carol Eagan...very nice...liked her voice...style and looks...I can see where you could confuse her for a younger DK but only in that profile...she does not look like DK in the frontal photos that I have seen. She is talented and I feel if she marketed correctly will be a big star...that remains to be seen. Again, no threat to our DK I am looking forward to adding her to my collection. Well Done Canada for producing another talented singer.ANAE

Right. My confusion was coming from the photo in the article where you can see her in profile. I have only been able to listen to the single "My Favorite Distraction" and I quite like it. Shame her CD seems to be only available on www.Amazon.ca! :(

She is talented and I feel if she marketed correctly will be a big star

I have the same feeling. And as a general rule, when I have such a feeling, it's good sign for the artist! :)
She can become quickly big if she finds a good management (did I say www.slfa.com? ;) )

Well done Canada for producing another talented singer.

That country is just incredible. There's plethora of huge talented artists over there.
I wanna live there!

Ms. Egan's latest album is kind of blah, like Sarah McLachlan type of stuff. If you're not a young girl in the throes of adolescent angst, I don't expect it'll hold much appeal. But I'd highly recommend her earlier album 'The Path of Least Resistance'. Great versions of great songs, and such a gorgeous voice!
