Mrs. EiLB got word today that she is one of five candidates for the position of Associate Chief Counsel for Trade and Finance in the Department of Homeland Security! She flies out to Washington, D.C., tomorrow, and her interview is scheduled for this Friday.

But it could still be months before we learn a result.

I hope she doesn't find the weather too hard to take. Its really hot and humid right now, with some of the remnants of Hurricane Dennis hanging around. Southern Cal weather is better than DC anytime.

Yeah, we had scoped out the weather before she left. Hot, humid, thunder storms; that's not really DC putting on its best face, is it?
