Canadian phenom Diana Krall jazzed her way to the top of the Canadian album charts for a second straight week.
Her seventh studio effort, "The Girl in the Other Room," the follow-up to her smash hit 2001 CD "The Look of Love," claimed the No. 1 spot on sales of 14,800, according to data compiled by Nielsen SoundScan.
Krall narrowly beat out Isabelle Boulay's "Tout un Jour," which came in at No. 2 with sales of 14,400, her highest debut to date.
Eminem's side project D12 dropped one position to third with their second album "D12 World," while R&B star Usher held steady in fourth.
The Black Eyed Peas' "Elephunk" placed fifth, trading positions with Guns N' Roses' "Greatest Hits," which moved down to sixth.
Former Big Wreck frontman Ian Thornley's new band, simply titled Thornley, debuted at No. 7 with sales on 5,600.
Evanescence's "Fallen" rose up two spots to No. 8 and Hoobastank's "The Reason," powered by their hit title track, entered the top 10 for the first time at No. 9.
Norah Jones went in the opposite direction, falling three spots to No. 10.
Other notable debuts included Gordon Lightfoot's "Harmony" at No. 13, the "Shrek 2" soundtrack at No. 22, and Hayden's "Elk-Lake Serenade" at No. 49.
In the U.S., Usher held onto the top spot once again, according to Billboard.com. It was followed by country artist Gretchen Wilson's "Here for the Party" in second, 8Ball and MCG's "Living Legends" in third, D12 in fourth, and Hoobastank in fifth. (More on Diana Krall)
