LOVE SCENES (Verve) found singer/pianist Diana Krall on her way to stardom. Her fourth album, 1997's LOVE SCENES teamed her with guitarist Russell Malone and bassist Christian McBride and hit #1 Jazz. Spotlighting love ballads such as Peggy Lee's "I Don't Know Enough About You," "I Don't Stand A Ghost Of A Chance With You," Irving Berlin's "How Deep Is The Ocean" and the Gershwins' "They Can't Take That Away From Me," the gold-certified Love Scenes preceded her 1999 masterpiece WHEN I LOOK IN YOUR EYES.
Even though my cd players are finiky...I have tGitOR on SACD hybrid. I have yet to experience the cd in full force, but I'm optomistic for the future and figure I'll eventually own an SACD player.
