Nice picture. Black dresses are very in again, from what I've heard. (I just keep mine from year to year...they never seem to go out of fashion.)

Diana looks very happy. Does anyone know if Elvis was there, too? (Just curious.)

Sensible choice for the dress. Low profile but elegant, well cut. And very pretty shoes !

Sharon's outfit was a bit too glamorous I am sorry to say. But there is a "Basic Instinct" number 2 coming so I suppose there are expectations out there...

verena, I agree completely with your choice of words for Diana's dress. "Elegant" is the word. It has a great class line, it "says" just enough, not too much, and, in my opinion, it does what clothes should do -- keep the focus on the wearer and the wearer's good taste -- not on the garment itself.
