The number one song on any day...

Postby jazzanddianafan on 14 Mar 2006, 04:01

I am not sure if anyone has posted this site before, but this might be a kind of fun thing.....

What was the number one song on any important date in your life:
your birthday
your marriage date
the birth of your children
your divorce
the day the bully at school shoved you in your locker....

anyway, I am giving away too much of my life's experences here...... what was the number one song on a day that was important to you ?????

When one of my kids was born, Carly Simon's song "You Are the Love of My Life" was high on the charts. I don't know if it was No. 1.

I hate to admit this...... but the #1 song on the day I was born ????

"The Doggie in the Window" by Patti Page !!!!!!!

There are people on this board who have no idea what that song even sounds like !!!....... (much less who Patti Page is !!!)

Oh well; like a fine wine, I guess I get better with age !! (or at least I hope so)

"How much is that doggie in the window (woof woof)"

My mom used to sing that song to me when I was just a tiny tyke.

"How much is that doggie in the window?
"The one with the wag-gi-ly tale?
"How much is that doggie in the window?
"I do hope that doggie's for sale."

I know there's a second verse and it's on something I have (I think it's a collection of kids' songs).

graduation

Postby Victoria on 15 Mar 2006, 21:29

As soon as I graduated from college , I went out dancing with my friends, and the first song I heard when I walked into the disco was Pink's "Let's get the party started" . Now , I'm not a big fan of her music , but at that moment I thought it was quite symbolic of my situation. :D

The day I was born Angie was the number one song. Could this be why I don't listen to the Rolling Stones?
for those odd moments we were perfect...
