Regarding this past Monday's matches, England had their best game of the tournament, but they are still vulnerable on set plays. I think Ronaldo is dangerous (of course I would) but the England players will be familiar with him, so that may be an advantage.

I hope a lot of English make it into the stadium to balance out the home field advantage. If they do, the atmosphere should be unforgettable, not to mention extremely loud!

well it would be a good game!! i must confess i never thougt portugal could come to the 1/4final, and don't think our team is good enough to beat england....but they proved they could exceed our expectations, and they will do that today!!!! (remember....noone ever said Oporto could beat manchester and we did it..... - of course Oporto played a lot more like a group than portugal team does but i belive they are learning to play like a whole group!!)

First of all I'd like to congratulate the Portuguese team and coach. What a match yesterday. Secondly my best regards are to the supporters who made and exceptional, vital, effort to support the team.

Now the game itself. An emotional rollercoaster is what best describes it. Anyone who read my previous posts could easily state that I didn't have that much confidence in the Portuguese team. However, since the match with Spain my opinion change. Something happened between the game with Russia and the game with Spain. FOr me, it looked like a completely different team. And we could see that yesterday. I truly believe that the game was well balanced and both teams played their best. I also think that the referee did a good job.

Congrats to Portugal. They played a great match. As with most England supporters, I had serious problems with the ref, especially his cancelling Sol Campbell's goal at the end of the second half. But, that's football, right?

About the ref... I think he may have commited some mistakes but I think they were balanced regarding the team they affected. About the goal... Well I didn't watch the entire game and so I didn't watch that goal.

I think the big surprise in this championship is the Greek national team. No one saw that coming... However, congrats to them for a great championship.

Sweden was eliminated yesterday in one more exciting game. And I think tonight we can expect one more exciting game. This Euro has been filled with emotional rollercoaster for any football fan, especially when it regards our own team. Portugal-Spain, Portugal-England and yesterday Sweden-Holland have been great games, disputed to the last minute, making supporters (and mere sports fans) wait to the last minute to know the final outcome. So congrats to all teams for great performances in general.

And Remi sorry for France. I really was expecting (and suportting) them to pass to the semi (not only because France national team is the France national team, regardless the results, but also because we lost with the Greeks in the opening game).
And I think we'll see the Greeks in the finals... One interesting scenario: Portugal going to the final, meet the Greeks again and... well let's just expect the result is different from the last time.

Well, the folks have said that there are massive celebrations in the streets, and that's just because we're in the semis. I didn't think we had it in us.....I'm just glad it's there. Of course, what everyone doesn't know is that the majority of the Greek soccer players also double as construction workers for the Olympic building sites. Could be why we're still rushing to catch up.

Greece was the big surprise of this Euro. Huge surprise.

Now that the Euro is over, what's the final review about how the things went?

Nothing went wrong if you were a Greek. They looked like a German team from the late 70s. Hats off to them. Can they repeat their success in two years?

Honestly I don't believe that. The World Cup is much tougher than the Euro. Actually, we usually watch much more surprises in generally in the World CUp than in the Euro's. ANd I must emphasize the USUALLY.
