That photo is just too cool! Being a Roman Catholic myself (and tres chic, lol) I did notice those red shoes on "Papa Ratzi" If I may say so, (and this is a real "groaner" of a comment!) I guess "The Angels Wanna Wear My Red Shoes" would be an appropriate Elvis Costello song for this fashion occasion! I know, I know, that was lame, but I couldn't resist!

All I'm thinking is how much those shoes cost, and how many starving children could've been fed with that money. It's a shame.

I have no idea how these things are "done", but it may be that the makers of those shoes made a gift of them to the Pope. I don't know, like I said, but maybe many craftsmen (especially Italian) would be honored just to have the Pope use their wares. The actual cost to make the shoes is far less than what Prada actually charges for them (outrageously overpriced!). Prada, then, would do well to lower their retail shoe prices and donate to world hunger themselves. All of us could do so much more than we currently do for the needy. Even if we can't give money, we could volunteer time, or prayers, toward the relief of others. By the way, we still don't know for a fact that they are Prada shoes! They just look like Prada.
