Has anyone else here listened to this? This is one of the most interesting things I have ever heard in my life! My husband sent me the link this morning and I'm so glad he did. It's like a funky humanities music and linguistic class rolled into one. I was surprised how deeply moved I was by the EMI-Bach piece near the end. This covers the music that exists naturally in language, how we humans communicate to our babies more through the music in our voices than the words themselves. It covers perfect pitch. It recounts how Stravinsky first caused an opera riot with his "Rite of Spring" and why the music may have caused proper society to behave so unseemly. It also talks about a computer getting into the "DNA" of a composer's musical style and then being able to recreate that style in new music. Fascinating stuff!
