No worries, Bud. Whenvever I post on this board I've usually had one too many. Who am I kidding? I've ALWAYS had one too many.
Anyway...
Last night I went to the Dodgers-Cubs game. We beat those pendejos, and beat them again today in dramatic fashion. Glorious!
And yes, Bud, I saw the Va-Giants had a big weekend at the Denver launching pad.
This sorry-ass NL West race is going to be close, as it should be. Unless the Va-Giants or Bums have total meltdowns, should be good-old gut-wrenching fun.
Gundy, take your money off the Dodgers NOW. LA is ONLY a good bet if the 3-4-5 spots (Kemp, Ethier, Ramirez) are hot. When on-fire, that's a middle order not to be F-ed with. But, with the exception of today, lately Ethier has been AWFUL. Quite often, he's a pouty little b*tch. His swing mechanics are solid, but he often goes into that A-Fraud-style, leg-kick-swing, which can be terrific, and also VERY BAD...especially on his favorite low-and-away K pitches (also Kemp's favorite K pitch). But hey, what do I know? You should see me flailing away at the local batting cages. NOTE: Bud would likely never say something negative like that about a Giant. In fact, I suspect Bud's real name is Mike Krukow...aka...Sickening Homer.
Brandon League...
Yeah, thanks for this tatooed thug, Mariners. He played a set-up role on Friday. He looked good. I don't believe he's pitched since then. Gundy, your comments trouble me...
Which ex-Phillie will do best? Pence ain't the next Barroid Bonds, but he's solid. Man, I was NOT happy to get the Cryin' Hawaiian. He's fast as lightning, no doubt (I saw him burn around the bases in person; most impressive). But he's SUCH an overrated hitter. And a major pussy to boot. This is as bad as having to root for Jeff Kent. We needed a first baseman to replace worthless Loney. Not this sissy.
