yeah, i got that too.... i guess they are just sending it out to any and all on thier 'list'.... at first i thought i'd just toss it, but i gave it a listen......
that first cut, the remix cut of sarah vaughan doing 'fever', is a great way to start off a CD..... i really do like it......it does make me want to look into the CD it comes from (Verve Remixed 3) or check out which sarah vaughan CD that cut is on.....
i am not a big paul anka fan, so that one is just ok, not bad.... the liz wright cut i enjoyed..... jackie greene was an obvious reminder of early bob dylan - but certainly not up to dylan's level with this cut...... the teddy thompson and brazilian girls didn't make much of an impression..... i did enjoy the last song, john scofield's 'what i say'.....
overall, i will keep the CD and i guess it will have its desired effect in that i will most likely give a listen to a few of the CDs the cuts were taken from...
