When are you going? (Or am I late already?)
Well, a nice place to hang out is Harbour Front - basically the Lake Ontario waterfront. It probably isn't all that scenic at this time of the year, but during the summer months, they tend to have great festivals, street artists, free music (I think DK used to play there back in the day), plus there's a nice harbour and the Power Plant modern art gallery. If you're into shopping - Queen St. (East) is full of quirky, ecclectic shops.
Then there's
Honest Ed's - a historic bargain mecca, and a brilliant trip back in time. Nothing trendy to buy there, but it's a slice just strolling through the place, with all of its vintage music theatre posters and headshots with personal messages from star XYZ to Mr. Mirvish (Ed Mirvish, the store owner - aka Honest Ed - owns a musical theatre empire in Toronto and has plenty of friends in high places, plus does a lot for charity. One fascinating guy). They've got great
slogans. See

Oh, and don't forget to check out Diana's Walk of Fame 'maple leaf' in front of Roy Thompson Hall.
The Eaton Centre's no fun. Just your average mall.
